When Bailey was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 13, her whole life changed. Some of the changes were good, and some… were not, but 24 years later, (and counting), managing her life changes has inspired her to help others, particularly in creating strong support systems for Type 1 diabetics and families. With 24 years of first-hand experience as a diabetic, a degree in elementary education, and themotivation to bring the diabetic world closer together through support and knowledge, Type 1 YOU, was born.

When she isn’t catching her pump on door handles, Bailey likes to spend time with her husband and two dogs, Penelope and Harry. She enjoys all types of food made by her culinary graduate husband, loves to hang out with family, especially neices and nephews and is inspired by all things creative.
